Choose from a 500m or 1600m swim in the crystal clear protected waters of Rottnest Island.

Swim Thru Rottnest was first conducted in 1977 and has been held annually ever since. It has been held on the first Saturday of December and is hugely popular with a range of ages and swimming abilities.

Swimmers can take part in either a 1,600 or 500 meter race in the crystal clear protected waters between the Army Groyne and the Natural Jetty. Swim Thru Rottnest is presented by the Cottesloe Crabs Winter Swimming Club and 2020 marks the 44th year.
