Bicycle Hire

Discover Rottnest Island by bicycle! Cycling is environmentally friendly and a fun recreational activity for all ages. As Rottnest Island has no private vehicles, cycling is also one of the best modes of transport on the Island. 

Hire your bike before you go and save time. 

Once you get off the ferry make your way to the Pedal and Flipper shop behind Hotel Rottnest. With SeaLink Rottnest Island you can line up at the priority queue making it quick and easy to get your bike. Your bike hire will include a helmet and lock. The Bike Hire team is trained to personally fit customers to bikes to ensure optimum comfort and safety.

To ride around the entire island (22kms) you would need between 3-5 hours, alternatively there are shorter routes available. 

PLEASE NOTE: A medium sized bike generally suits a height of between 167.5 cm and 178 cm. A large sized bike generally suits a height of between 178 cm and 185.5 cm. Child bikes are applicable to children ages 5-10 years, however is dependent upon height, leg and torso length. 

The above does not take into account - flexibility, injuries, range of motion and personal riding style. 

Bicycles must be returned to Pedal and Flipper by 5pm. Return times are seasonal, please check closing time when collecting your bicycle on arrival to the island. Bicycles must be collected on the island by an Adult (18+).
